Port Blair, Sept. 1: The School of Tourism and Hospitality Services Management, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi, launched a 3-year Bachelor Degree programme in the area of Facility Services Management (BAFSM). The three-year degree programme is very useful for the tourism sector employees/staff working in various tourism and travel departments and it will prepare candidates for careers in Facility Services Management.

Port Blair, Sept. 1: The Directorate of Tourism, A&N Administration intends to participate in two Tourism Fairs at mainland viz. TTF Ahmedabad to be held on Sept. 6, 7 & 8 and TTF Mumbai to be held on Sept. 13,14 & 15. In this connection, Tourism Department has requested the Tour Operators/Travel Agencies of these Islands enlisted with the Directorate of Tourism to submit their willingness in writing along with copy of the enlistment letter and rent of Rs. 20,000/- for participation in each location through DD in favour of Sr. Accounts Officer, Directorate of IP&T on or before 04.09.2022.

Port Blair, Sept. 1: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,96,867 doses of vaccine have been administered to beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above so far. Similarly, 23,952 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 years. 28, 275 beneficiaries in the age group of 12 to 14 years have been administered both doses of vaccine. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 2,46,683.
